The EKOShower System Team

RP Ringelstetter - Inventor/CEO

“It all begins with an idea. RP Ringelstetter met an electrical engineer in a pub in downtown Boise and discussed his idea to save water in the shower over a couple of beers. Within a few months they had a crude but functioning automatic shower ON/OFF valve. The prototype included an LCD water usage counter and we noticed something very interesting.

By simply turning the water off automatically everytime you step away from the shower to do routine tasks, we noticed much lower water consumption than the 20 plus gallons it usually takes. I now use only 8 to 9 gallons of water when taking showers with the EKOShower system.

It took years and years to refine the platform, sensing and software but we can now offer a great user experience with EKOShower”.

Geoff Maestas - Lead Software Engineer

Geoff is a lead chemical and software engineer for a Treasure Valley company. He too is dedicated to saving water and his super power is wizard level computer programming. Geoff writes the code that creates a great user experience for EKOShower. And he doesn’t stop until it is correct….

Jason Ringelstetter - Chief Marketing Officer

“Getting the EKOShower to market and in the showers of many, saving valuable water and energy is my passion. And doing it with a high quality approach and real thought put into the user experience. Once you use the EKOShower there is no going back”.
